Vernon Myers
Chairman of the Board
Vernon Myers retired after serving 17 years as President and CEO of Putnam State Bank in Putnam County.  Prior to his employment at Putnam State Bank, he was engaged in the banking and investment business in Louisiana and New York City. After retirement from Putnam State Bank, he served as Palatka City Commissioner for 3 years and as Mayor of the City of Palatka for 4 years. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is a graduate of The School of Banking of the South.  He has been and continues to be active in many local and regional non-profit and civic organizations. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Palatka Sunrise and the First Presbyterian Church of Palatka. Vernon is married to Linda Myers and the share a blended family of 6 children and 13 grandchildren spread all over our country.
Les Sims
Vice Chairman of the Board
Les sims is President of Armstrong roofing inc and a
Navy veteran, 94-98. He has been in Putnam county resident since 2000. Les enjoys spending time with his family and participating in community board and philanthropic events.
Christian Calderon, Pharm.D.
Secretary/Board Member
Christian Calderon is a Doctor of Pharmacy and works at the HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka, FL. He attended the University of Florida and has recently moved his family to Putnam County. He enjoys contributing to his community by serving on the boards of the Rotary Club of Palatka and this Education Foundation. On the side Christian is also the Marketing Director for Azalea City Brewing Co. He hopes to raise funding to provide greater opportunities for the teachers and students of Putnam County.
Joyce Oliver

Although I’ve lived in Putnam County since 1975, I was born in San Antonio, Texas, into an Air Force family, and attended many schools, developing early a love for reading that has not left me. I wish for every child in Putnam County to have the opportunity to love reading and succeed, and have dedicated and resourceful teachers to inspire them. Our mission is tailor-made for that concept.
Timothy Keyser

Timothy Keyser, J.D., Attorney at Law, is the only remaining founding
director serving on the board. Timothy Keyser deeply appreciates the public education he received and is
committed to ensuring that public school systems continue to provide a strong
foundation for learning.
Kari Reynolds
Board Member
Kari Reynolds is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the North East Florida Educational Consortium (NEFEC) in Palatka. She has been with NEFEC since 2016 and has spent most of her professional career working for non-profit organizations. Kari is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Azalea City and Trinity Baptist Church of Palatka. She resides in Palatka with her husband and children.
